During the 20th century, many businesses and organizations chose to copy information
on microfilm to save space in their offices and storage facilities. During that time Aloha Copy filmed millions
of images to microfilm and microfiche. These films were utilized for long-term or permanent record storage with
retention periods in excess of 15 years. Although microfilm pages can last for decades, the wear and tear of time
can lead to the films becoming worn and difficult to view, especially when they have been placed within inappropriate
storage facilities. In todays environment, many organizations are choosing to convert all microfilm to digital
images to provide storage within Electronic Records Management Systems and immediate network or web access for
records requests. The scanning is done with industry leading, state-of –the-art fiche and roll film scanners. We
scan at 300dpi and use industry level software to crop and manipulate the images to get you the highest quality
image possible. We can provide both bi-tonal and gray-scale images |
