During the 20th century, many businesses and organizations chose to copy information on microfilm to save space in their offices and storage facilities. During that time Aloha Copy filmed millions of images to microfilm and microfiche. These films were utilized for long-term or permanent record storage with retention periods in excess of 15 years. Although microfilm pages can last for decades, the wear and tear of time can lead to the films becoming worn and difficult to view, especially when they have been placed within inappropriate storage facilities. In todays environment, many organizations are choosing to convert all microfilm to digital images to provide storage within Electronic Records Management Systems and immediate network or web access for records requests.

  • Jacketed 16mm or 35mm fiche cards
  • Aperture Cards with or without holerith data
  • 300 dpi, black/white scanning
  • File renaming is logical based on roll / fiche titles or other methods contact us to describe in detail your film type and format.
  • OCR to searchable pdf
  • Flash drive or cloud service image delivery (not a cloud hosting service with monthly fees, simply a method of delivery)
  • Post scanning document destruction (no charge at some locations)
  • Box pick up and return delivery of boxes or media choice
  • Net-30 billing for most projects
  • Company checks or CC accepted
