In-House Scanning:

Scanning price is per scanned image starting at $0.25 per scan
We use an overhead book scanner that can scan book page size of an absolute maximum of (12" x 18")
Image flattening software can eliminate the curve in the spine area
Color, Black & White or Gray scale at industry standard 300 dpi
Each book becomes a multi-page pdf file and is named with the book title
Reasonable pick up and return delivery (from $50 and up depending on distance)
Indexing (file renaming) can be done by drawing number or drawing title
Scanned file delivery

16gb flash drives are $25 each (16 gb can hold appox. 100 boxes or more)
Cloud transfers are $10 each (used for jobs on the smaller size)

Post scanning destruction (Free in some locations, the others are per box of books)

On Site or On Location Scanning:
Typically this service is performed In House, but we can go on location for sensitive documents
The price increases based on the volume of your on location project
Daily set up fee is charged for travel time, mileage, parking etc... (also varies by distance)
Indexing (file renaming) is included
OCR to PDF searchable is provided for no extra charge
Scanned file delivery

Please note that we OCR books to searchable text and export to .pdf with very good results. We can also scan and output to .txt and .doc files, BUT BE WARNED these output formats are not a fully formatted page like the books original page that can be easily edited and then reprinted. Columns, photos, page breaks, graphics etc.. create serious formatting concerns when outputting the OCR text to something like word. .A pdf file is a layered file, the image of the page is a picture of the page with the text behind it and those layers line up almost seamlessly.
